Sir clive woodward knighted by the queen

Woodward, who will coach the Lions on the tour of New Zealand in 2005, has been linked with a move to football.

But after the ceremony at the palace he said: "I am not necessarily going into football. I am just concentrating on the rugby at the moment.

"We will discuss that when the Lions is all over.

In the meantime I am just concentrating 100% on rugby."

Woodward, who shocked the rugby world by resigning as England coach at the start of September, insisted it has been the perfect moment for him to leave.

"I stepped down as head coach as I'd been doing the job for seven years and that's quite a long time in this job, so it was the right time to move on," he said.

"I wish the team and Andy Robinson, the new coach, every success.
